What to expect in your pre-employment assessment
If you’ve been offered a new job, your employer may refer you to APM for an assessment
Our pre-employment assessments are designed to ensure your health and safety at work and prevent potential injuries.
If you have a pre-existing condition, a pre-employment assessment will also help an employer or recruiter make recommendations for a suitable job.
It may include parts of a functional assessment to check your capabilities with any physical requirements of a job, such as heavy lifting, moving objects or long periods of standing or sitting.
Depending on the role, your pre-employment assessment may require physical activity so you will need to wear comfortable clothes.
Usually these assessments take up to one hour but may vary in length depending on the job requirements.
Please also remember to check with your employer or recruiter where your pre-employment assessment is taking place.
