Many things have changed since APM began in 1994, but one thing remains the same - everything we do is about people.

The passion and commitment to our clients is possible because of the exceptional people at APM who every day, strive to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. Assisting more than 130,000 people annually to achieve their goals and live independently, is something I am personally very proud of.

From early in my career, as an occupational therapist and working as part of a multidisciplinary team, I saw the benefit of working together to achieve outcomes for people. This collective approach is reflected in the APM business today.

We bring people together

I believe there is incredible power in bringing people together.

Our collaborative approach has helped people to learn new skills, get to work, get back to health and get support at home to increase their independence.

APM remains a champion for young people, job seekers, people with injury, illness or disability, and those living with mental illness or the challenges of age.

We understand the impact of delivering outcomes for our clients

Having worked in a chronic pain practice, I learnt a valuable lesson about the importance of early intervention and evidence based practice. It is the reason why APM’s early intervention model was developed and has proven to result in superior outcomes for all parties.

We’ve seen how assisting people into employment provides them a sense of purpose and a feeling of accomplishment that is incredibly important to their mental and physical wellbeing. Work challenges us, teaches us new skills and nurtures our social connections.

Whilst we all like to think that everyone has the same opportunities available to us in life, unfortunately the ability to access these opportunities is not always equal, and that’s why APM is committed to helping deliver better outcomes.

Our goal is to help 300,000 people around the world each year

We are very fortunate to have worked with and served so many people at APM over the last 24 years. These people, our ‘APM family’ are the driving force behind my vision to help 300,000 people each year by 2020.

In the future, I see the breadth of our services helping reach children, more young people and further assist our aging community. Making APM a provider of ‘whole of life’ human services.
